How I became a Blogger – what about you?

What the devil is the use of reading something interesting if you can’t tell someone about it?!
Really! I remember when I was young and just finished reading a book I’d use to randomly accost any strangers in the street and passionately tell them about it. I can’t say how well interested they were to hear about it; however I do know I myself drew extreme satisfaction out of it. In fact, that is why I still do it today. It does get me into trouble once in a while but it’s worth it if you ask me. After all, isn’t this people are all about? Recorders of interesting thing who are roaming the earth eagerly, desperate to play their accumulations to anybody who seems mildly interested in listening? Come to think of it, I suspect that anybody who ever went through acquiring an educational degree of any sort has done it only in the hope that one day he will be able to spill out every detail he has absorbed throughout those long years of studying, to a bunch of listeners. I actually have a few good professor friends who I know find it hard to resist giving a lecture, at any cost.
Don’t get me wrong. I think it’s a beautiful thing. That is why I do it myself. I can’t think of a better way to pass the time. Looking for interesting things to know and then telling everyone about it. However, as I said before, it can be rather tedious at times.
“Jerome” I told my Genieo friend on our way out of the police station, “It can’t go on like this. There’s got to be an easier way to do this”. It occurred at one of the times Jerome kindly came to bail me out, after being charged with accosting strangers in the street in attempt to tell them about my interesting findings about the Dodo bird. The silly man insisted on using the word ‘harassing’ but I know the investigating policeman knew better. He actually seemed rather interested in my Dodo bird stories. I admit there is not much style in ending up so at a Police station; our passions however, lead us over strange paths at times and who are we to resist. Still, I would prefer if it did end with style.
“My friend” answered Jerome, “I will do my best to think of something. In the meantime though, I beg you to do your best to stay off the streets with this. Spread the Dodo word over the internet. Strangers seem to be more tolerant there”.
“But it’s too complicated, Jerome” I said, “So much is happening all the time. I can’t very well mange all this: compile things edit them and then bother with mailing lists and all, every time I have something interesting to share. I’m not a publisher, you know”
When I think back of this moment I distinctly remember seeing a twinkle in Jerome’s eye; at that moment however, I did not pay attention to it. I was not too surprised then when Jerome showed up on my door step a week later and told me about Genieo’s new features: My Personal Magazine and My Day in Pictures.
“Now you’re a publisher” Jerome proudly announced.
And indeed I was. The guys at Genieo put their heads together yet again and came out with these two wonderful features which can automatically and effortlessly enable me to spread my interesting findings in a jiffy. Now, I can accost everybody I Know and follow my passions – with style.
